Picture framing, mounting styles and methods
There is a vast array of framing posibilities at Brampton Framing and every single order is unique to the individual. With over 500 frames to choose from and over 140 mount colours, there is the perfect combination for everything. Here are a few examples of what we can do here at Brampton Framing
FOOTBALL SHIRTS AND SPORTS MEMORABILIA
We frame a variety of sports clothing and memorabilia. This is a fantastic way to display your prized possessions such as signed tshirts, along with photographs and sports tickets.
We fold and shape the shirts specifically to your request to create a smart and proffessional look. The shirt is sretched over conservation board in a way that does not compromise the material should there ever be the need to take the shirt out of the frame.
NEEDLEWORK AND TAPESTRIES
Any needlework or fabric, such as silk, can be stretched and mounted to show off your hard work to its best potential.
We use a traditional method of cotton lacing across conservation boards, stretching the needlework before mounting. We do not use tape on fabric as it deteriorates over time, losing stickiness. It can also be damaging towards the fabric.
MULTI-WINDOW BADGES AND MEDALS
Above is an example of putting 3D items, such as badges and medals, along side pictures. This is an effective way of displaying memories and souvineer. We wil frame anything from war medals and whistles, to marathon and sports medals and even memorabilia pins and badges.
You can dispaly more than one picture in a frame. This is done by cutting individual windows for each picture in a visually pleasing display. This gives you the opportunity to display a variety of images in one frame, such as holiday or family photos. We have seen the number of windows in our mounts range from 2 all the way up to 100!
Excitingly, we now have the facilities to create a variety of unique designs and apertures on your mounts! Visit the gallery to see what we can do!
All objects are treated individually and we have the facilities to choose a depth specifically for each object. This will be done using either a deep frame, or by building a box onto the back of a much shallower moulding. We have framed anything from shoes to snake skin in box frames.
After the fantastic display of the London remembrance poppies, we have received a huge amount of the poppies to frame. This is a brilliant way to display your individual poppy in a completely unique way, with a variety of frames and mount colours to choose from!
Swept frames are becoming increasingly popular again. We have a fantastic range of swept frames that are made to measure with hand shaping and finishing. Their finish is of a particularly high quailty and traditional design, however we do also have a range of modern style frames too.
